What is Matched Bets?
Matched Bets Calculator is an iPhone and iPad app that calculates lay stakes for matched betting, saves both sides of each bet and tracks the profit you actually settle. It is free on the App Store in the UK and Ireland.
What is the launch offer?
Our first 1,000 users get every future Pro feature free for life. There is nothing to sign up for: eligibility comes from your original App Store download, so it follows your Apple Account to a reinstall or a new device. Pro is in development; everything in the app today is free.
Is the free web calculator the same as the app?
Yes. The web calculator runs a direct port of the app's calculation engine and is tested against the same fixtures, so lay stakes and outcomes match to the penny. The website can't save bets; the app saves, settles and tracks them.
How do I move a calculation into the app?
Tap Save in the app. On iPhone or iPad this opens Matched Bets with your stake, odds, commission and matched lays filled in, ready to save (latest app version required). On a computer, scan the QR code with your iPhone camera.
Does it place bets or connect to my bookmaker?
No. Matched Bets is a manual calculator and private record keeper. It never places bets, fetches odds or connects to bookmaker or exchange accounts.
Is matched betting legal in the UK?
Matched betting uses bookmaker promotions and a betting exchange, and it is legal for adults in the UK and Ireland. Bookmakers set their own promotion terms and can limit offers or accounts, so always read the terms before you bet. New to it? Read what matched betting is.
Do I pay tax on matched betting profit?
In the UK, gambling winnings are generally not subject to Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax for individuals. This is general information rather than tax advice; check HMRC guidance or an adviser for your own circumstances.
Is my betting data private?
Yes. There is no account to create, no advertising and no analytics SDK in the app. Calculations run on your device, records can be protected with Face ID or your passcode, and you can export CSV or a full backup at any time.
Is there an Android version?
Not at the moment. Matched Bets is built natively for iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or later. The free web calculator works in any modern browser, including on Android.
